Audi- new look

  • Posted on November 30, 2010 at 11:30 am

Audi is the brand name of Audi AG, a German manufacturer of a range of automobiles. This brand came into existence in the year 1910. August Horch, the founder of this organization was barred from using Horch as a brand name, hence the name AUDI was adapted as they mean “listen” in German and Latin respectively. In 1921, Audi was the first German car manufacturer to introduce left-handed drive, AUDI TYPE K. It was received with great appreciation as it allowed easy traffic access and safer overtaking. In 1932, Audi launched a six-cylinder engine combined with front-wheel drive. During World War 2, the company was closed and later was sold because of the lack of profitability. In 1964, Volkswagen acquired the Audi but still used the brand name. In the early 21st century, Audi claimed and maintained several world records on a German race track. However the sales fell during a period because Audi was sued for sudden unintended acceleration leading to 700 accidents. Later after undergoing modification, the sales rose in 2000. Some famous models of Audi are A3, A4, A5, A6, A8, Q5, Q7, TT, R8 and S models. The next phase of technology in development is e-tron electric drive power train system, which involves electric motors giving power to four wheels and at the rear axle. The famous lines of Audi – “Progress cannot be stopped, but it can be driven”.

Trip to Moon

  • Posted on November 27, 2010 at 9:53 am

With the advancements in technology coming up at a rapid space it will not be a wonder if there is something called as the “Trip to moon” coming in the near decades. Though this would take another ten to twenty years there is every chance that it will be an exciting option with people travelling to the moon. The trip can be planned like by travel made in the space machines as there is the trip made by the scientists and the astronauts. The trip to moon though might be expensive it can be thrilling and enjoyable. Also there are the features like all the possible security and emergency measures which would need to be taken to the trip to moon. Also there needs to be the proper team along which one would be expected to travel. The trip might prove to be an expensive one, but one would need to make sure that they witness what is happening in the space. There might be the NASA organization taking steps to prepare an action plan for the same. One would need to register in advance and make sure that they keep their life at risk before the travel is made to moon.

Goa an awesome tourist spot

Hi Friends let me tell something what we did while we had a long time travel in train to Goa. We have arranged for an educational tour to Goa for 5 days. We have booked our tickets in vasco dagama express and got our tickets a day before in our hands. Train was scheduled to depart at 1.30 pm and all of us assembled the station by 12 pm itself. As the train reached the platform we boarded into the train and placed our luggages. We all made a roar when the train started. As the train started we where singing and dancing. Once we got tired we all were looking into each others face and got settled in our seats. Then we started eating the snack items which we carried with us. Later than we started playing card games. Evening it started raining heavily and we were enjoying the climate. Then at the night one by one went for their respective births and started to sleep. Since it was my first long travel through train I didn’t have any idea of carrying blankets with me. Night it was shivering very much. One of my friends saw my condition and he gave a spare blanket he had. Then finally I too slept. Morning we got up and had our breakfast. While nearing Goa the excitement have reached the peek. We all were peeking out through the window and looking into the mountains and river falls. Finally we reached Goa by 1 pm.

way for technology

Hi everyone! Let’s learn something about technology.
Technology is knowledge of using tools and machines to do tasks more efficiently. We use technology to control the world we live in. Since the art of making fire and creating handcrafted tools, our civilization has come a long way. Science and Technology are making advances at an astonishing rate. From telephones to the Internet, calculators to computers, cars to rockets and satellites, we are part of a new world of discoveries and inventions made possible by Science. Fields like Medicine and communications have changed our cultures and our lifestyles. The technology that surrounds almost everyone in the modern society, affects both work and recreational activities. Technology is one of the principal driving forces of the future; it is transforming our lives and shaping our future at incomparable rates in history. Technology is constantly changing, and advancing.
Many different elements affect how satisfied we are with our lives. The impact of technology on these elements can change how safe, healthy and happy people feel. Throughout history, people have looked for better ways to meet their needs and to satisfy their expectations. Technology has improved the way people feed, clothe and shelter themselves. Technology has also changed other aspects of everyday life, such as health care, education, job satisfaction, and leisure time activities. Technology has both positive & negative impact. All the above said are positive impacts. Negative impact of technology includes the Gun that takes away many lives.
The technology is considered having a positive or negative impact on the society is based on the way we handle it. So, let’s use it in a positive way.

Phones are bane

  • Posted on November 15, 2010 at 9:08 am

Modern times have come with a revolution. We have all heard about the Telephones, as the basic necessity of day to day life. But now telephones have been revolutionized and developed such that mobiles have become the need of the hour. There are however tow sides to a coin, the positive side as id well know to us of the phones is that they have given communication a new meaning. While looking at the other side, the side that has become the reason for worry and today’s stress is the harmful side effects of mobile phones. The vibrations that they release are the most worrisome topic of the period. They not only give vibrations that are harmful they also cause various health problems like tumor and such like. The are many E-mails circulated these days that ask us to keep the mobile phones away from the bed where we rest as they release high frequency vibrations that can permanently impair the functioning of the brain. The latest headlines are that the phones that are charged via chargers are harmful when used while charging on electricity. They not only use up lots of power but also are susceptible to explosion. Many such accidents are mostly because the phones used are mostly not the original ones. The other disadvantage that I would like to throw light upon is, that the young generation is obsessed with it that they created a world for themselves inside it, and real humans living in and around them are long forgotten. Games and songs are the applications of a mobile phone, and not just communication.

Automation

  • Posted on November 10, 2010 at 7:10 pm

The craze for high quality, restricted time frames, round-the-clock demand, pressure on reduced resource wastage and the break-neck pace of urbanization all demand one thing in common– Mechanization , and on a higher level, Automation. Human effort is far too precious a resource to be wasted in mundane manual activities. We have invented machines instead, that can completely take over all human activities to the extent of operating without any human intervention and making their own decisions! Automation has influenced all professions greatly. Harbors and industries faced the problem of lifting and transporting heavy loads amounting to tons. Mere human assistance could not solve this problem. The mindset of employees is also totally unpredictable with strikes, lockout and other HR problems. Hence a different method of automation using mass production cells and industrial robots has taken prominence. Though they are very sensitive and require great care, they are worth every penny spent on them as they have made the dream of “mass production in total control” to be a reality even from a remote location. Automation requires careful planning of resources and requirements as any miscalculation will diminish the returns that can be obtained in an ideal state. It is thus easy to foresee that Automation will come up in a big way in the future.

Change in automobile industry

An automobile is designed for transporting passengers and other goods. In olden days people used hand pulled trucks for the purpose of transport. Later then they used animals tied to the trucks for transport. With the development of combustion engines, three stroke and four stroke engines many new automobiles have been developed. Petrol, diesel are mainly used as a fuel. Combustion of this fuels provides energy and the momentum is obtained by the wheels. The petrol or diesel is sprayed through nostle inside the engine. It is ignited by the spark produced by the spark plug. Hence the combustion of fuels begins. The burning of fuels produces kinetic energy. Older automobiles were generally powered by a steam engine, which was fed by burning gasoline. Most automobiles in use today however are propelled by an internal combustion engine, by petrol or diesel. Both fuels are known to cause air pollution which is also considered the main reason for global warming. Increasing costs of oil-based fuels, tightening environmental laws and restrictions on green house gas emissions are propelling work on alternative power systems for automobiles. Previously cycles and cycle rickshaws were used for the purpose of transport. They do not consume any fuel and hence no combustion and so no pollution. Thus with the increase in population and the fuels getting exhausted, there is need for to preserve the fuels and use it in efficient rate so that they last longer and can be used. Smoke emitted upon combustion should also be controlled.
