significance of travel

  • Posted on December 22, 2010 at 7:00 pm

Travel is movement of people between relatively distant geographical locations for any purpose and any duration, with or without any means of transport. Travel also includes relatively short stays between successive movements. Movements between locations requiring only a few minutes are not considered as travel. There are different types of transport to travel by: buses, cars, ships, trains, plane and other. But when we speak about business travel we usually mean plane. Commercial airplane flight is one of the most common forms of long- distance travel. While it is the most expensive form of travel it is the fastest. Maybe it’s not so comfortable to seat during the whole flight, but its better then traveling by train for several days. Cars are mostly used for short travels (for example, from home to work) and it’s really good alternative for buses, that many people have to travel by. Car a kind of every day transport and it can be comfortable or not so. But in comparison with public conveyances every car undoubtedly wins.

With the advancements in technology coming up at a rapid space it will not be a wonder if there is something called as the “Trip to moon” coming in the near decades. Though this would take another ten to twenty years there is every chance that it will be an exciting option with people travelling to the moon. The trip can be planned like by travel made in the space machines as there is the trip made by the scientists and the astronauts. The trip to moon though might be expensive it can be thrilling and enjoyable. Also there are the features like all the possible security and emergency measures which would need to be taken to the trip to moon. Also there needs to be the proper team along which one would be expected to travel. The trip might prove to be an expensive one, but one would need to make sure that they witness what is happening in the space. There might be the NASA organization taking steps to prepare an action plan for the same. One would need to register in advance and make sure that they keep their life at risk before the travel is made to moon.

Goa an awesome tourist spot

Hi Friends let me tell something what we did while we had a long time travel in train to Goa. We have arranged for an educational tour to Goa for 5 days. We have booked our tickets in vasco dagama express and got our tickets a day before in our hands. Train was scheduled to depart at 1.30 pm and all of us assembled the station by 12 pm itself. As the train reached the platform we boarded into the train and placed our luggages. We all made a roar when the train started. As the train started we where singing and dancing. Once we got tired we all were looking into each others face and got settled in our seats. Then we started eating the snack items which we carried with us. Later than we started playing card games. Evening it started raining heavily and we were enjoying the climate. Then at the night one by one went for their respective births and started to sleep. Since it was my first long travel through train I didn’t have any idea of carrying blankets with me. Night it was shivering very much. One of my friends saw my condition and he gave a spare blanket he had. Then finally I too slept. Morning we got up and had our breakfast. While nearing Goa the excitement have reached the peek. We all were peeking out through the window and looking into the mountains and river falls. Finally we reached Goa by 1 pm.

bringing people together

Travel is moving from place to place, with a purpose or just for the pleasure of it. Travel is one of the best mood lifts. When we change our location, our mind set appears to feel a changeover. Travelling gives happiness and ease of mind. In olden days, people did not have lot of means of transports. They had to walk most of the time or use an animal. But these days, technology has improved so much that walking is ruled out. This may sound like an advantage but actually it will make people physically passive, which is not healthy. So when we travel it would be a better option to make trekking a part of the journey. Travel gives us the freedom of living in a climate we want to. Travel is also very important for people to understand and respect different cultures and histories. Travel gives a feel of moving forward, at times we feel so bad to get down from a means of transport because we want to continue the travel. When people travel there are some things they must consider, learn the language and habits of the place they are going to or have contact of a person who knows about the place very well. Also it is a must to carry a first aid kit and a food like bread, because we never know how the food is going to taste… after all taste differs!!

Australia – Down under

Australia’s major attraction factor is its natural beauty. The landscape here varies from endless sun baked horizons at one end to dense tropical rainforest and also to some chilly beaches in the south. Scattered along the coasts, it hosts a blend of European enthusiasm for art and food with a laid-back love of sport and the outdoors. Visitors can plan to see the opera house in Sydney in one night and go to the Crocodile Dundee the next day. This will make them to re-think their grasp of geography in this huge country. Due to this sheer vastness Australia – hosts a diverse population – much like its character. Australia is a vast island continent situated to the south of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea; Australia is strategically located between the Pacific and Indian Oceans and is also the world’s sixth-largest country. Australia measures about 4000km (2500miles) from the east to west and about 3200km (2000miles) from the north to south. The interior of the Australia is flat, barren and less populated. Most of the population of Australia lives on the fertile, narrow, eastern coastal plain and also on the south- east coast. The Great Dividing Range runs from north to down south along the eastern seaboard, thus separating the coastal part from the drier inland portions of the continent. The Great Barrier Reef which lies 50-300km offshore and extends 2000km from Torres Strait to Gladstone and is studded with coral reef and is worth watching.

scope changes in travel

Before airplanes and automobiles exploded onto the scene, rail travel was the ideal way to travel cross-country. In some parts of the world it’s still one of the standard modes of city-to-city travel, and in others it remains as a fairly popular alternative. It lacks the speed of air travel and the flexibility of driving an automobile, but compensates for that by giving you more room to casually move around, while someone else still does all the driving. It’s also more comfortable than air travel to those who don’t like the thought of being suspended 30,000 feet above the ground. For distances between about 100 and 800 km it may be the fastest way of traveling, especially if you travel from city center to city center. For longer distances it takes longer than traveling by air, but provides you with a ground-level view of the territory you’re visiting, and allows you to stop on the way. But before the inventions of all the vehicles, the only way of traveling is with our own legs.

awesome travel

Traveling is the one which everyone enjoys the most. I love traveling as it freshens my mind and explore new ideas. We should plan our travel accordingly so that it brings us happiness and joy. It is essential to plan for long trip journeys. My first long trip travel was to Nepal. It was a two days journey in train. I was accompanied with one of my close friend. We both were together and boarded the train from Chennai central by 10 pm. As we have planned our travel earlier we got our tickets reserved and we were comfortable. That night in train we had another set of college students over there in same compartment. Among them some were drunk and they were out of control. As we have booked our tickets we went to our respective births and covered ourselves with blankets and slept. There was another girl in the same compartment who got into the train around 12. As she has not booked she was just sitting down. The whole night she was sitting and she was uncomfortable. Next day morning she told us that she was so tired. So she asked for our birth. We gave and she rested. After sometime she started talking to us nicely and we too replied her. We all reached Howrah station next day around morning 5 am. We were waiting for our next train to raxual which was scheduled at 3pm. We got the train and reached Nepal the next day. It was a pleasant journey and ever lasting experience I ever had.
